Step 6: Rebates (Some) Are your friends too!!!

I hope most of you all are enjoying the beautiful snow day today!!!! Although we didn't get the snow that was forecast, we did get enough to SCORE a SNOW DAY!!!!!! YAY!!!!! The kids enjoyed going out and playing in the 1 to 1 and a 1/2 we had in our yard.

Now on to step 6 in our weekly series: Rebates (Some) are your friends too!!!!

First thing I want to say, is that haven't got this step entirely down yet. I am still working on making this work for me, but I wanted to mention it for those of you who are working on reducing your spending.

Rite Aid has some of the best rebate deals around. You buy stuff all month that have rebates, come home and enter them online, and then at the end of the month, recieve one big check for all of your rebates. The way this gets to be an awesome SCORE is that some of the items go on sale, plus you use a coupon and then you get a rebate for more than you paid!!!!!

Ex.  Last month Prell Shampoo
went on sale for 99 cents but the rebate was for 2 dollars. So I actually made 1 dollar just for buying the shampoo!!!!

Rite Aid has a monthly flyer in their stores that shows you the items that have rebates. I thoroughly recommend using this!!!!

I am waiting on my December check so I will let you know how long it takes, but my plan is to take that money and rolling that over into my "Grocery" envelope and using it to hopefully SCORE more deals!!!!
